Governance

Governance is required for all organizations—small, mid-size companies and global entities. In this day and age, the focus is on information technology governance, which ensures that enterprise information is secure and protected no matter where it travels—inside, outside and across the enterprise. Governance includes the standard operating procedures and policies that employees, alliance partners, and customers must follow.

The scope of governance includes accountability, fiduciary responsibility and Acceptable Use Policies (AUPs), which include information policies regarding:
  • Use of the Internet
  • File sharing
  • Workplace email protocols
  • Network usage
  • Classification of content
  • Content protection, such as For Your Eyes Only...Proprietary and Confidential...For Internal Use Only
All corporate intellectual property requires the same persistent protection as the information the government deems private and institutes laws to safeguard. Governance focuses on integrity and ethics—it's a matter of trust.
