Gerard Sikias
Director

Serving in this position since October 2000. Gerard has over 25 years of international corporate finance, investment, and private banking experience. Gerard is currently President and CEO of Safehost, a Switzerland-based web-hosting facility. His career began as a systems engineer with Hewlett-Packard and then moved to Citibank, where he held various positions advising high-net-worth individuals. Gerard has worked as managing director for a Middle Eastern group in Saudi Arabia involved in diverse activities and was a board member for several international joint ventures. In 1986, Gerard founded Mari Finance and Investments, a financial consulting firm focusing on structured finance and portfolio management. In 1996, Gerard joined Merrill Lynch Private Bank in Geneva and recently held a management position at HSBC Republic Bank Suisse. Gerard has broad exposure to current developments within the information technology and Internet industries and has extensive experience in financial valuation of privately held enterprises. Gerard has advised and arranged several private placements for his major-high-net worth clients in various start-ups and well-known private equity firms. Gerard holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from New York University and an MBA from the Institut European d'Administration des Affaires (INSEAD) Fontainebleau, France.
